Furniture factory shows very poor business performances. Lacking investment funds, it re-designs its product line. New furniture is tested with customers. Of four on the market proved designs, applying the method of linear programming, two are accepted as optimal. Profit on sales rises from 1.09% to 16.11%, profit on equity rises from 2.07% to 40.27%
