Contribution to quality tests on the storage units

Quality tests on the storage units in Yugoslavia have not been sufficiently developed and lack a great tradition. Therefore, there appeared a need to give in this article a contribution in researching quality tests on the storage units, giving answers to the following questions: - what is the quality; why it should be tested; what affects the quality; in which way it is examined; who examines it and when the quality of storage units should be tested. This article further deals with two examples of how the stiffness has been tested, which, however, represents only one of the basic factors of the quality of storage units. In closing consideration, there are mentioned some reasons for inferior stiffness, which have been characteristic for the tested sample, together with some other quality factors of storage units which would be the subject of one of the next articles.
