Thermal system of highly economical presses for surface finishing of boards

Abstract:
In the article is described a special thermal system of presses for surface finishing of boards and production of sheets, supplemented with another accumulator where cold and hot water is accumulated from the system, which formerly had to be cooled or heated and its heat to be taken away uselessly in the air. The heat and cold of the accumulated water is utilized in the process itself. The cold area in the accumulator is beside this enlarged and the water in it is cooled continuously, so that during the complete period of cooling the press gets the water of the lowest temperature. The basic relations for determination of volume contents of accumulator and for efficiency of radiator for cooling have been stated. Carried out prototype of plant in the industrial scale has been tested in production and by measuring achieved 37% saving of heat in comparison with the former system. Furthermore, there has been described a proposal of a new thermal system for the identical consumers, in which the accumulator for warming up and the additional accumulator are placed in a joint vertical pressure boiler, by which the performance is made simpler.
