Calculation of furniture strength (2)

This article deals in brief with some possibilities of calculating strength in the construction of furniture. In considering this subject, the authors mostly used experiences from other countries, though so far such problems have not been sufficiently studied either in this country or abroad.

However, the topicality of the theme and practical application of calculations become more apparent by adopting standards for the strength and durability of furniture in the world and here. In the end, a simple example of calculation from practice has been made.

This work has to induce further research in this field, particularly in determining mechanical properties of wood, wooden boards, and wooden constructions.
