Title:
Fire-prevention in woodworking industry fixed stable sprinkler devices for extinguishing by water
Research subject and fields:
Abstract:
Increasing automation, higher speeds in timber conversion with less and less operatives employed represents an increasing fire risk on timber industry. To reduce the fire damages it is necessary to protect the woodworking plants and warehouses by automatic fire prevention fixed devices. The most effective protection has been obtained by protection of entire area by simultaneous local protection of individual equipment or parts of production processes in a certain building. Sprinkler devices are fixed fire-prevention system for extinguishing by means of sprinkling water jet. Water, through firmly fixed water pipes, is brought directly to a place set on fire. Sprinkler heads are closed and open automatically at a certain temperature and the sprinkling water jet extinguishes the fire on the area where the fire broke out.
