Manuscript submission
The article works on problems of testing firmness and durability of glued joints in products of building trade. Authors tried to come as near as possible to real conditions in window production and in this respect they tested the firmness of corner joint of the window sashes, changes in firmness, i.e. durability in use and the influence of surface finishing system. On the basis of carried out testing it has been concluded that the results of clearance influences comply to a certain extent with the researches made by Iljinski, that better joints are obtained by resinous glues than by PVA waterproof glues and by pigmented lacquer surface finishing than by wood dye.
