Wood physicmechanical properties expressed in SI-units

In accordance with »The law of measure units and measurements - 1976« - up the January 1st 1981 only the Sl-units are allowed to be in use, as so as in many countries over the world. It is therefore necessary to explain the relation between the two main measuring systems i. e. the metric TS - (technical system) and the BS - (British Standard) - system against the new International System (SI). The common SI-units in question, in wood industry and trade, are defined and explained, as so as given the multiplying factors for converting from TS-Units to SI-Units and viceversa.
