Abstract:
This study discusses causes, needs and methods for determining oversizes of sawn wood, particularly in thickness and width. Overizes should be given not only for shrinkage but also for inaccurate sawing and, if necessary, for further conversion of sawn wood or for some other reasons. There are many problems and unknown facts which make exact determination of oversize difficult.
