Title:
Non-stationary temperature changes in drying wood chambers during their cooling-off period
Research subject and fields:
Abstract:
The paper treats a theoretical approach to the course of cooling-off period of the drying chamber for wood depending on constructional and thermo-physical qualities of the walls of the drying chambers. lt is not enough to know the insulation qualities of the walls. We must also consider the coefficient of the temperature conductibility. Thermoacumulative quality of the walls has a great importance in the case of time-limited heating, especially for the wood drying chambers which would use exclusively solar energy, during the definite periods of time. A thermal empty drying chamber has been taken as a model because we wanted to test the behavior of the walls. The corresponding differential equation has been solved and its result applied to the concrete cases.
