Abstract:
The reasons for great losses of furniture producers are to be looked for in low utilization of production capacities, shortage of proper production programs, in ignoring market requests and, of course, in insufficient personnel training of work organization to adopt themselves to the market conditions. The latter is the most difficult problem as the present situation derives from the period when the market was completely ignored, when market functions in work organizations were completely neglected in organization structure. Market conditions stired up the production orientation of furniture producers neglecting thus long-term orientation based on relevant market parameters. Difficult conditions of economy and of placing the goods impose the necessity of changing business conception and promote business action which will be more oriented to market, its requirements and needs. However, in work organizations there are no enough personnel potential to contribute to development and market reorientation. ln cooperation with specialized institutions could be still obtained an information of high-qualiity in a relatively short time and by s fields leading to a qualitative step towards market requirements. The example described in the article is a proof to the above statement.
