Fire retardant chemicals for increase of fire resistance of high density fibreboards manufactured by dry process and mdf boards

This work demonstrates the results of researches of manufacture and properties of fire retardant high density fibreboards and MDF boards carried out abroad. This review reflects on execution and properties of high density fibreboands and MDF boards made in the lab and production and properties af factory made high density fibreboards. Results relate to the types and amount of fire resistant agents, tolerability of these agents and adhesives, the place off adding them in the production and physical and mechanical properties of the obtained boards.Fire resistance, i. e. behavior to fire of the treated fibreboards determined in the tunnel furnaces having two different lengths has been shown by flame spread indexes, smoking index and for MDF boards by charring length, loss of density and flame duration.
