Preliminary investigation of fire-retardant treatments for flakeboards

The paper shows the results of preliminary investigations of three fire-protective chemicals selected after studying comprehensive literature. For evaluating the efficiency of the fire protective, oxygen index was determined on samples previously treated with fire protective chemicals. Although these are the results of preliminary investigations, we thought that this report could offer useful information on - 1/ possibility of applying fire protective chemicals MDP /melanin-dicyandiamide-formaldehyde-phosphate acid/ and - 2/ on the value of investigating oxygen index for evaluating the efficiency of certain fire protectives in making fireproof particle boards.
