Present situation in primary conversion and finalization and problems of further development of timber conversion in »Bilokalnik« Koprivnica

This article discusses the situation and problems of primary conversion in the organization »Wood Industry« which forms part of the mill »Bilokalnik« Koprivnica. The Tables demonstrate: structure of raw material selected by wood species, quantity and utilization of sawn timber and separately commercial and secondary conversion. In addition, secondary conversion for production of workspieces selected by wood species has been analyzed, and for beech and oak the quantity of workpieces and utilization, then a portion selected by dimensions in export and on domestic market. Afterwards, for beech and oak, tables IX and X give an information in numbers and illustrations on marketing of workpieces (internal, domestic, foreign) manufactured in the mills Koprivnica and Đurđevac in 1987 and 1988. In conclusion, the author has stated that »Bilokalnik« Koprivnica has a possibility and prospects for development of timber industry in primary conversion and in furniture production.
