Investigations of home grown fir wood joinery chemical protection by means of a double vacuum method are presented in this article. The parameters of magnitudes and durations of first and second vacuum are researched according to lateral absorption and lateral penetration of organic solvent wood preservative. Satisfactory results are achieved by the first vacuum of 0,66 bars in the duration of 30 minutes, 30 minutes of soaking in atmospheric pressure and second vacuum of 0,83 bars, in duration of 30 minutes. With the mentioned parameters average lateral absorption of 304 g/m2 and average lateral penetration of 1,8 mm are obtained.
