Title:
Research on change of fire resistance of steel galvanized metal sheet doors after being veneered on both surfaces
Research subject and fields:
Abstract:
The paper deals with the results of II (final) stage of research on elastic joints of galvanized metal sheets and veneer paneling. Within the framework of this research, it has been established that veneer paneling glued on both door surfaces does not reduce but slightly increase (13,5%) the fire resistance of doors constructed like a box made of steel galvanized metal sheets d = 0,75 mm, filled with perlite. It has been evidenced herewith that a layer of soot remained after combustion of veneer paneling on both door surfaces and serves as a protection and thermoinsulator at the time of fire strain. The results of this research stand for the basis for standardization and technology of improvement and are taken into account when designing elements which should include fire prevention technology in modern interiors.
