The dry rot fungus Serpula lacrymans - the major cause of wood decay in buildings

The dry rot fungus Serpula lacrymans is one of the most widely-spread and most dangerous decay fungus in Croatia. This article describes basic characteristics of its growth and decaying mechanism. In this article the methods and wood preservatives against S. lacrymans are also described. The very new photos of S.lacrymans, found in location in Zagreb are shown.
